Who can argue with the IMAX experience? Surround sound and massive screen! Also they captured the market i'd say with their Wednesday special.
It's a little off the beaten path. I went with friends and when we arrived, the exterior had a very "jungley" theme going on (which isn't a bad thing at all). We came for the bar and live music, but wandered into the wrong building where a private movie screening was taking place. We were directed upstairs where auditions for dancers in a music video were going on (and that was pretty interesting, but not what we were looking for). Eventually, we made our way back out to the correct building and got settled in. There was some live music going on in the background - a singer/pianist named "Mr. Fingers" (I know!) - and about three other patrons. The interior was very Nigerian-themed; the walls (and floor) were adorned with paintings, sketches and carvings, all with little numbers stuck to them, leading me to believe that they were available for sale. The service was so-so and many of the food options on the menu were unavailable (supposedly, it was the head chef's day off). The wine options were pretty decent, though and the waiter was fairly knowledgeable about the food-wine pairings. We were there for a couple of hours and while we did have a chat with the performer to understand the origins of his name, the only other thing worthy of note was a little furry visitor that startled one of the people I was with - twice! I came here on a Monday, so, if I do come back on a weekend (or on a Wednesday, when I hear it gets very lively), I'll leave another review.
